First enquiry
A guide to your first enquiry
It is fine not to know where to start. This page sets out what happens between getting in touch and the first meeting, and what helps if you happen to have it.
From enquiry to first meeting
- 1
Get in touch however suits you
The form, an Instagram DM, the phone or email. Whichever you use, what we ask is the same.
- 2
Tell us only what you know now
New build or renovation, roughly where, whether there is land — as much as you happen to know.
- 3
Fix a time with us
Someone here reads it and gets in touch, and you settle the time and place of a first meeting together.
- 4
Sort things out together at the first meeting
How you want to live, the land, how the money divides up, and what order to work in — with the papers in front of you.
- 5
Take it home and think
Nothing has to be decided on the spot. We finish once it is clear what to look into next.
We do not promise a fixed number of days for a reply. We read it through, and then someone here gets in touch.
If you happen to have them
Things worth bringing, if you have them
There is no need to gather all of it. Whatever is already to hand is plenty.
- Sales particulars, a map, a URL or a survey drawing for the land
- A plan or photographs of where you live now
- Saved images or Instagram posts of houses, kitchens, rooms or materials you like
- What is inconvenient about your current home
- Notes on the life you want next
- Roughly when you would like it
- A rough monthly housing cost or repayment you would be comfortable with
Nothing to decide beforehand
- A final budget
- The number of rooms or the floor area
- Mortgage pre-approval
- Everyone in the family coming along
- A perfectly organised brief
Please do not send ID, bank books or mortgage papers by direct message. If any of it is needed, we will explain at the first meeting.
Getting in touch
Use whichever is easiest. The conversation is the same whether it starts from the form or a direct message.
