How we handle personal information

MIYAMOTO KOMUTEN handles the personal information entrusted to us according to the policy set out below.

Policy

What we collect

When you make an enquiry, ask for a consultation or request material, we ask for your name, contact details (phone, email, address) and something about your plans. Giving them is voluntary, but without them we may not be able to answer.

What we use it for

To answer your enquiry; for the consultation, design, construction and everything after handover; to send material you asked for; and for our own announcements.

Postcode address lookup

When you enter a postcode in the contact form, only the seven digits of that postcode are sent to an external postcode lookup service (zipcloud, operated by Ibis Inc.) so that a matching address can be suggested. Your name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry are never sent. You can ignore this feature and type the address yourself.

Passing it to others

We do not pass personal information to third parties except with your consent or where the law requires it. Where a trade contractor needs information to carry out the work, we explain this beforehand.

How it is kept

Personal information is kept only as long as the purpose requires, and managed to prevent leakage, loss and misuse.

How long we keep it

What is sent through the contact form on this site is deleted once 180 days have passed from receipt. Where a consultation or a contract is ongoing, it is kept separately for as long as the work requires. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

Disclosure, correction and deletion

On request from the person concerned we will disclose, correct, stop using or delete the personal information we hold. Please contact us at the address below.
