Objective:
● Transform the apartment into a stylish and modern living space.
Kitchen:
● Open-Concept Kitchen (“Flat Facing”):
○ Create a spacious, open feel from the kitchen to the living area.
○ The work top and sink areas are designed to be open, fostering a seamless connection with the living space.
○ To meet this unique requirement, a stone craftsman precisely cut the kitchen stone countertop.
○ Although it was a challenging task with high stakes, we conducted pre-cutting experiments with samples to ensure success, trusting the stone craftsman’s expertise.
Bathroom:
● End-of-Day Relaxation:
○ The bathroom is designed to provide a luxurious and relaxing end to the day.
○ Coordinated to offer high-quality relaxation time.
○ Research into the bathtub’s shape, conducted in collaboration with a university, showed that it reduces joint stress, enhancing comfort and well-being.
Additional Design Features
Tatami Corner:
● Storage: The space beneath the tatami mats is utilized for storage.● Elevated Space: We added depth and dimension by intentionally creating a step up into the tatami corner.
● Indirect Lighting: Indirect lighting is used to enhance the stylish ambiance of the area.
Living Room:
● Wall Design: One wall in the living room is covered with gray tiles, creating a sophisticated and mature atmosphere.● Consolidated Controls: Remote controls and lighting switches are grouped in one location, making them easy to use and maintaining a stylish appearance.
● Pure Natural Wood: The flooring is made from "Muku" wood, processed into a 2mm thick "Sawn Board" used as a surface decorative material, inviting barefoot walking.
● Black and Brown Marble: The flooring features a luxurious blend of black and brown, reminiscent of high-end hotels. This premium wood, known for its classic contrast and shimmering stripes, adds a high level of elegance.
● Installation: Each plank has a unique appearance, and they are carefully arranged to ensure a balanced and stylish look during installation.
